Now that we’re experiencing this beautiful warm Seattle spring, we’re craving something light and refreshing: the spicy jalapeno margarita. Always a party favorite, and seriously so easy to make! A few weeks ago we had a GNO with a bunch of girlfriends from college, and it was so fun to “wow” our guests with this beverage.
With only five ingredients, it’s the perfect drink to spice up an evening.
- Vodka (the secret ingredient) and Tito’s is our favorite
- 2 Jalapenos
- 2 Limes
- Sparkling water
For a spicy version: Slice both jalapenos and place two shots of vodka in a cup. Muddle together so that the jalapeno flavor soak into the vodka. If you have the time, put it in the fridge for an hour or two. Then, you can top off with a cup of limeade, and half cup of sparkling water.
For our girlfriends, we wanted to make a more mellow drink since they don’t love spicy food. To make it more mild, just reverse the order. Add a cup of limeade, half cup of sparkling water and two shots of vodka to the top. Add jalapenos and enjoy!
Finish off your drink with some lime. Delicious!
