When it gets to be spring and summer time, my go-to makeup look is light on the eyes and a fun or bold lip. So this week, I rounded up a few of my new favorite colors along with some long-time favorites.
Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien (left). This is my perfect neutral — it gives a nice hint of color, but is neutral enough that you can quickly swipe it on without any fuss.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon (right). It’s semi sheer, but can be built up, so I love this lipstick when I want a pop of color, but don’t want to have to worry about keeping up with a full on lip.
Covergirl in Succulent Cherry with Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Big Bang (left). I absolutely adore a red lip. It’s timeless, and is an easy way to spice up a look. As we head into the warmer months, I’ve been loving this cherry red combination.
PBJ Smoothie Stick (right). I received this lip crayon in a Birchbox, and was intrigued by the playful packaging. It lives up to its name with a smooth and pigmented finish.
Kat Von D. Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Mother. I have been living in this color for the last month. I love that it’s bold enough to transition from day to night. It’s also truly everlasting, while still maintaining a smooth, matte finish.
What are a few of your current lip must-haves?
