Not sure about you guys, but this is the first holiday that we truly feel like adults. And we have to say, it just might be more fun than holidays as a kid. Totally kidding…obviously. 😉 But, there is so much magic and cheer about the holidays, regardless of age, and we’ve rounded up our favorite things about being an adult this holiday season.
1. Dinner at the big kids table.
Seems like a good rule of thumb…bring a dish, get promoted from the kids table to the “big kids” table. This year, we were tasked with bringing our own dishes to Thanksgiving dinner and we had so much fun paroozing through Pinterest to find the perfect recipe.
2. Spreading holiday cheer.
It seems like almost everywhere you go, everyone is just a little bit happier and everything is just a little more cheery. Whether it’s wishing a total stranger a happy holidays, or writing an extra holiday card for a colleague, it feels so great to spread a bit of holiday cheer.
3. Holiday home decor.
There’s so much joy in decorating your home for the holidays. A beautiful tree, little Nutcrackers and stockings…it’s so fun to bust out all the holiday decorations. Makes coming home every day just a bit sweeter.
4. More time with friends and family.
There’s nothing like getting to spent days with family playing board games, eating way too much food and laughing till it hurts.
5. Cozy PJs and fuzzy, festive socks.
There’s something so magical about cozying up to the fireplace with hot cider in hand and fuzzy socks on your feet.
