Anyone else find themselves in a hair rut sometimes? With long hair, it’s so easy to blowdry, curl and call it a day. (Ok…obviously not that easy, but you get what we’re saying.) With summer always being a busy time of the year, we don’t always have that extra time in the morning to re-curl our hair. Besides, it’s nice to take a little bit of heat off your hair whenever possible. Lately, we’ve been trying to find different hairstyles that take less time and still look put together and are just as gorgeous. We wanted to show you two different pony tail looks, ideal for a quick easy up do or hiding that third day bed head.
My go-to pony tail look has been a double braid with a wrap around the rubberband. It’s so easy to do, and the braids instantly add a layer of glam. I go back and forth between a middle part and deep right part, but it’s easier (for me, at least!) to do it with a deep part. I start at the top and braid all the way back, and then do the same thing with the second braid right underneath. I leave a little strand on the right side down and then after placing everything except the strand into a low pony, I wrap the little strand of hair around my ponytail and use a few bobby pins to ensure everything stays in place. Easy, quick and your hair stays out of your face all day!
When in doubt, stick to the basics. I love being able to pull all my hair back into a low pony and jet out the door a few minutes later. I have been playing around with adding ribbons lately and love how it makes an otherwise simple look that much more glamorous.
