Three ways to pamper yourself

This week’s challenge is all about some self-love and pampering. We’ve all been there. Your skin feels dry and dull. You’ve had a stressful week and need to relax. Whatever it is, we’ve all had moments where you’re looking for a quick fix for some instant relaxation. Here are three ways to pamper yourself that won’t break the bank, and will offer an immediate sense of renewal and relaxation.

  1. Invest in your skin: A facial can do wonders for your skin, help you relax and leave you with a glow for weeks to come. We both went to Jill Busy Skincare for a personalized facial, and had the most incredible experience. It’s a European style day spa in lower Queen Anne, and our visit started with a Skin Instant Lab test, which measures your skin’s unique hydration, trans-epidermal water loss, elasticity, pigmentation, and sebum levels. Based on the results, they totally customized our facials and we left with the most moisturized, dewy skin that lasted for two weeks. Plus, it’s beautiful inside and so relaxing.
  2. Go float: Sensory deprivation tanks are popping up all Seattle, and they are a great way to reduce stress and improve mindfulness. Studies show that floating improves sleep quality, improves focus and overall, enhances optimism.
  3. Spa day: One of my absolute favorite ways to spend the day is at a Korean spa. Most people think that a day at the spa has to be this expensive outing, but at most spas, you can buy a day pass and get entry into the rooms, saunas and pools for like $20 or $30 a day. Best part is, you can go for two hours or spend the entire day there. For all our Seattle babes, Olympus Spa and Banya 5 are two great local options.
