There are a few things I just don’t believe a girl can have too much of. On that list? Fresh flowers, mentors, shades of red lipstick (just me?), throw pillows, and hand written notes to name a few. This season I’m adding sweaters to the list. My collection has been slowly growing over the years, but somehow, at the start of every chilly fall season, I take a look at the sweaters on my shelf and declare that I “need” a few more.
Last year, I picked more unique pieces — gravitating towards fun patterns and bright colors. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a bold sweater this season…but during my annual shopping trip this year, I stuck to neutral basics that I know will get a lot of wear over the next few months. I’m excited to experiment with layering, throwing a cozy knit over my favorite pair of denim during the day, and then swapping them out for a slip skirt to take the look into the evening.
If we’re being honest, my quick trip to stock up on new cozy pieces this past weekend won’t be my last. And if we’re really being honest, I’m likely to end up with one (or three) of the sweaters I linked below. What can I say? I just don’t believe in too much of this good thing.
