Summer here in Seattle is one of the most beautiful places in the entire country. We’re surrounded by water and have access to so many great activities. There’s a certain summertime calmness that sweeps over the city, and suddenly everyone forgets about the grey winters. This weekend was exactly that. The weather was 80+ degrees, and everyone got outside for the weekend. It was the perfect opportunity to get out and explore.
Some of our favorite go to activities include:
- Hiking in and around Seattle. There’s so many good ones, it’s hard to choose our favorites. But, Rattlesnake Ridge, Mailbox Peak and any of the Snoqualmie ones are awesome.
- Heading down to the Washington Athletic Club or Ballard Locks for an afternoon in the water. Whether you rent a kayak or paddle board or just lay out on the deck, it’s a guaranteed great time.
- Taking a water taxi from downtown to explore West Seattle. There are so many good restaurants and places to explore in West Seattle.
What are some of your favorite summer activities? As long as there’s sunshine, count us in.
