This week we’re focusing on increasing our water intake. We constantly hear the health benefits of drinking enough water. Glowing skin, calorie control, natural energy, the reasons are endless. But for some reason, getting those 8 full servings continues to be a challenge for us. Whether it’s forgetfulness, not having a glass easily accessible, or that an iced tea just sounds so much better…it’s too easy to justify not drinking enough water. But, we’re not making any excuses this week.
One trick that has helped so far is to add some fruit or mint leaves to our water to add a little flavor. Slip in a slice of lemon to a cup of hot water first thing in the morning to kick start your metabolism. Or, add some frozen raspberries to a tumbler to keep on hand at work. We’ve been experimenting with different combinations of frozen fruit and popping them in our ice tray. It’s a super quick addition and adds just enough flavor.
