A few weeks ago, we joined a bunch of other amazing Seattle blogger babes for a Galentine’s Day brunch with chocolate and champagne. At the brunch, we had the opportunity to talk with the other incredible women who like us, share a passion for anything and everything related to fashion and beauty. Some women that have been blogging for years that we have so much to learn from, and other bloggers, like us, that are relatively new to this world and are still trying to figure it out.
Chatting with other bloggers, it’s so easy to get caught up in goals, your follower count vs. someone else’s, brands that other bloggers are working with and so on. But, we want to get real with you all for a moment. That stuff isn’t important, and ultimately, isn’t going to make you happy. The key is to do the best you can, know that you can’t do it all and be proud of yourself for what you are doing. We are both highly-motivated and hardworking people, so it’s tough to keep telling ourselves this. And sometimes we struggle with patience. We want to do it all, and we want it now. As corny as the saying is though, it isn’t about the destination…it’s all about the journey.
As two women in our mid-twenties trying to juggle full-time jobs, a major side hustle (that we’re really passionate about) and balance friends, family and then stay healthy on top of it all, we’ve become master multi-taskers and are pretty much always on the go. With a long to-do list always keeping us busy, it’s easy to feel like we could or should be doing more. Instead, we’re practicing a little self love and want you all to do the same. You are good enough, you’re doing enough, and that’s all that matters.
