We’re jetting off to Nashville for a week with our best girl friends over 4th of July weekend. This means that A) we need all of your tips, recommendations, and must-see places, and B) it’s time to get serious about packing. We know it will be warm, we’ll be on our feet all day, and will need to be able to quickly transition from day to night. That means we need light pieces that we can mix-and-match, dress up or down, and comfortably spend a day touring the city in.
Here’s what we have on our lists so far.
A good pair of jean shorts is a must. You can slip them on over a bathing suit during the day, throw a simple tee over them for an afternoon adventure, or dress them up with some strappy sandals for a night out. We’re loving this white, distressed pair from Topshop for the flattering high-waisted cut.
We are all about the one-piece trend in swimwear right now. There are so many fun and flattering cuts and prints, it’s hard not to pick up every cute suit we come across. As you all know, we’re partial to stripes, so this suit from ASOS has been on our wishlist all month.
We know we’ll be walking all over while in Nashville, so it’s crucial that we have a pair of shoes that will keep our feet happy all day. This pom-pom pair is perfect because they’re flat, light, and will add a little character to a simple outfit.
Haley just brought this bag home the other week and it has been the best all-purpose tote. Pack it up for a day at the beach, fill it with farmers market finds…it can do it all. This will be the perfect carry-on and day-trip bag throughout our vacation.
A romper is one of our favorite pieces to travel with. It packs well and is an entire outfit in itself. Throw it on with a pair of sandals and your favorite hat, and you don’t have to think about much else. This seersucker romper is calling our names. The bow detail makes it sweet enough for day, and the cut out edgy enough to carry right into night.
Send us anything and everything we need to see, do, and eat in Nashville!
