I don’t know about you all, but it’s nearly impossible for me to pass up a good lip color. It just requires one easy step, and can quickly complete a look and make you feel a little more polished. However, because of this weakness, my lipstick drawer (yes, drawer) is close to full these days. Regardless, a few shades have stood out, become new favorites, and been on regular rotation.
Manna Kadar Lip Locked in Rosette
This has been my go-to daytime gloss recently. It’s just a slightly enhanced shade of my natural lip color, so it’s subtle and goes on easily. I got this mini size in my Birchbox, but at this rate, I will be ordering a full size tube very soon.
Juice Beauty Luminous Lip Crayon in Venice & Chanel Lipgloss
This combination is another great daytime lip. Both the crayon and the gloss go on super comfortably, and are long lasting. We both love that a neutral lip is low-maintenance, and doesn’t require a ton of precision to throw on.
Bite Beauty Lip Crayon in Sucre
This is my first Bite lip crayon, and I’m obsessed. It’s super pigmented, but doesn’t transfer like crazy. I love this color for spring and summer because it’s a little softer than a standard red, but still feels vibrant and bold.
Revlon Colorburst in Vivacious
These Revlon crayons are amazing because they go on like a lipstick, but have the finish of a gloss — it’s like two steps in one! This is Ashley’s “GNO” shade, because what better occasion is there for a hot pink lip?
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Hyde Park
I have a thing for red lipsticks. That drawer I mentioned earlier is at least 50% red shades…but I’m okay with it. This satin lip pencil is my most recent addition. It’s nearly a deep berry with its cool undertones, and pairs just as well with a white tee and a fresh face as it does with formal wear.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella
What can we say? NARS does red well. This pencil has classic red tones and a velvet finish, leaving you feeling extra glamorous after a quick application.
Have you been wearing any of these shades as well? Have a different lipstick for us to try? We’d love to hear your suggestions!
