As we transition into owning homes or apartments over the next few years — we regularly face a similar predicament. Buy everything at once to fulfill our decorating needs, or hold off and pick up pieces we love over time? We’re facing this right now with fall decor. And, of course, the latter option is the most rational, so we rounded up our favorite fall decorating ideas — each of them simple and storage unit friendly.
1. Pumpkin-filled fireplace.
How genius is this? Make (very full) use of an empty fireplace, and it will double as a mini patch for a pumpkin-carving night.
2. Burlap
You can get a roll of this for just a few dollars and it’s incredibly versatile. Throw it over a table for a quick runner, wrap a bouquet, line a vase — the options are endless!
3. Bowl of pumpkins.
In a pinch? Grab a dozen of the mini pumpkins at the end of your grocery run and arrange them in any bowl. (Salad bowls are perfect for this). Little effort, but will instantly transform a table centerpiece.
4. Fall wreaths.
There are no rules that wreaths can only come out during the holidays — especially if they’re made of cotton or hydrangeas. We just might leave those up year round.
