If we’ve chatted lately, it’s likely I’ve brought up Follain and my recent obsession with the store. If you live in Seattle, it is so worth visiting this beautiful spot in University Village. It’s bright and airy, and will inspire you to (literally) clean up your beauty routine upon arrival. Follain curates the best of the best when it comes to clean beauty and skincare, and after my trip to the shop last week, I was reminded of what great gift options they carry — for the beauty and skincare obsessed in your life…or yourself.
Luckily, for those of you who can’t visit the Seattle location, they also have a gorgeous online store. Below, I’ve linked a few of my long-time favorites, a few new items I’m excited to try, and the products that are at the top of my wish list.
This Herbivore Lapis oil was recommended to me one of the first times I visited Follain. I have skin that is redness-prone, so this oil helps calm my skin, prevent breakouts, and smells heavenly. Another product that I was introduced to during that visit was the Hannes Dóttir mineral mist. After a spritz of this, your skin is so soft, smooth and clear. It works beautifully on its own, but is even better paired with this Seamasque.
This last week, I picked up a few rms products. I had heard so many amazing things about this line so I was excited to check it out. Because I couldn’t settle on one eyeshadow or highlight, I picked up the luminizer quad to try out a few shades in one palette. This quad has two versions of the line’s well known “luminizer” shade — and they are both so gorgeous. I’ve been wearing all four shades on my eyes since I picked this up, but they would work well as highlighter on your cheekbones and cupid’s bow as well.
Because I have a full-blown addiction to lipsticks, I also left with the Wild with Desire lipstick in Jezebel. This is a super-pigmented deep berry shade, and it wears so well. No lip-ring after talking or drinking, and it fades into a subtle stain.
Two other products that I had my eye on (that would also make great gifts!) are this Signature set and the Lip2Cheek in Promise.
If gift sets are your thing, Follain has so many great options. A few that I wouldn’t mind finding under the tree are The Organic Bath Co. Experience, the Warm Winter’s Night Bath Set, the Kiss of winter lip kit, and the Petal-Soft Skin Set. All great options for those in your life who need a little encouragement to practice more self care (and maybe that’s you!).
One genius product that Follain carries is refillable hand soap. You purchase one of their reusable bottles, pick a scent, and then bring it back when you’re all out to fill up again. I have these all over my house and am obsessed. Also, if you’re thinking about slowly switching out your everyday products for more natural options — hand soap is a great place to start. Just think about how many times a day you wash your hands!
I also love to browse the travel section. This is a great way to test out a product you aren’t ready to splurge on, find stocking stuffers, or stock up on travel-friendly sized options of your favorite products. My picks? This lapis face oil, the rose face mist, and this squalane facial oil.
Finally, two products that I have had my eye on, but am waiting to pick up on my next trip are this French Girl Lumière oil (leaves the most perfect shimmery glow), and this Kahina Argan Oil. Kahina has the most amazing mission, donating a percentage of their revenue to organizations that directly benefit the women in the South of Morocco and their families.
Have you tried any of these products and loved them? Know of a few that I need to check out? Please share!
