A Quick Q&A

Processed with Snapseed.

One of our absolute favorite parts of beginning this blog together has been getting to know the other bloggers and readers — both in the Seattle area, and online. It’s been so amazing to get to know people who share the same interests and passions, and we are so excited to continue to do so!

In the spirit of this, we thought we’d share a few fun facts about the two of us.

  1. How did you two meet?
H: We met the first week of college — we were assigned the same room and had to share a closet…so yes, we’ve been sharing a closet (literally at some points) for the entirety of our friendship! Though space was tight, we became fast friends and have been inseparable ever since.
A: I am pretty sure our first discussion was about sharing drawer space. We were in the same sorority in college and lived together all four years. Thank goodness for that house since it brought us together five years ago!
  2. What song do you currently have on repeat?
H: My brother has great music taste, so I asked him to make me a playlist and have been pretty much been listening solely to that ever since. I’ve also been really into the new Bon Iver.
A: I love SNL and Bruno Mars was on last weekend, so his new song 24K Magic is my new fav and has literally been on repeat all day.
  3. What has been your biggest fashion faux pas to date?
H: I went through a phase in early middle school where I thought it was a good look to wear rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings….all at the same time. I also thought “matching” meant wearing all one color. So, this combination meant I was spending all of my babysitting money at Claire’s and dressing head-to-toe in colorful jewelry.
A: There’s so many to name! I think the worst was my Juice Couture tracksuit phase in middle school. I would wear the matching tracksuit in the same color with C&C California tanks underneath. Uggs may have also made an appearance with the tracksuit and jean skirt trend.
  4. What are you currently reading?
H: I’ve been working my way through “We Are the Mulvaney’s” by Joyce Carol Oates. I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to read lately, so it’s taken me a while to get through it, but it’s been a great read so far. I’ve also been eating up Aimee Song’s “Capture Your Style.”
A: I just started “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins. I am so late to the game, but it’s ah-mazing so far. I typically am not one to go for thrillers, but this one is a page turner. I won’t let myself see the movie until I finish it!
  5. What’s your fall fashion obsession this season?
H: Turtlenecks! I just got one that I can’t take off, so I’ll probably end up with many more by the end of the season.
A: Over the knee boots are my current obsession! My favorite pair are from Cole Haan and they instantly add a bit of glam and sparkle to any outfit, but I’ve had my eye on a few others for this season.

xx,

H & A
