This past weekend we realized that it had been exactly one year since we graduated college. Neither of us could believe how quickly that year flew by, but in stopping and reflecting, we saw just how much had happened since we had entered the world as “real adults.”
One small detail of our lives that has drastically changed since our student years is our bedtime routine. Gone are the days of all-nighters, mid-week parties, or late-night coffee runs. Instead, we’ve been working to find the best way to balance our busy days with quality hours of sleep at night.
So this doesn’t only mean getting to bed at an earlier hour (because that’s not always possible), but also prepping for bed in the right way. Which, we all reluctantly know, means avoiding screens before bed. We read this article a few months back, and are now ready to commit to their recommendation. Instead of a final survey of Instagram before shutting our eyes, we’ll reach for a book, magazine, or journal.
We’re eager to see the effects! Have you eliminated screen-time from your bedtime routine?
xx,
H&A
