Since moving back home, I’ve been lucky to spend a ton of time with my family. It’s funny how growing up, all you want to do is get away, right? In high school, I dreamed of going to the East Coast for college. I was determined, got into some of my “top” choices, and then when it actually came down to it, I couldn’t picture myself so far away and ended up not even seriously considering those schools. Nervous about spending the next four years of my life a six hour plane ride away, I decided to stay on the West Coast and as you all know, ended up in Seattle.
Well, now that we’re back, I have been definitely making up for lost time. Now only are we temporarily living with my grandparents while our house gets built, I have been enjoying dinners with my aunt, golfing with my cousin, and probably seen my immediate family every other weekend. Sometimes, every weekend!
My sister is four years younger than me, and she is incredibly smart and spunky and kind. If you follow us on Insta, you’ve probably been able to tell we’ve been hanging out a lot recently and we have gotten so much closer. Now only am I borrowing her clothes more (something she isn’t particularly excited about), but we’ve also been enjoying dedicated days where it’s just the two of us and we talk, listen to music, hang out and cook together. It’s the best. This was one of those days. We decided to go get blow outs before our happy hour date, stroll around Balboa, picked up some ice cream and of course, fit in some shopping.
